At Webmie company and Survey Diary service, we are committed to maintaining the trust and confidence of users of “Survey Diary” mobile app and desktop browser extension. In particular, we want you to know that Webmie is not in the business of sharing, selling, renting or trading your data with other companies and businesses for any purposes. Instead we help you collect your data and use it by yourself. In this Privacy Policy, we’ve provided lots of detailed information on what data we collect for you.

To be mentioned as starting point, the data is not containing personal information and is not under GDPR regulation. However, we manage it as much as possible as personal information.

What is Survey Diary app and extension

Survey Diary helps you collect your online behaviour data and download it to yourself.

You are the user of Survey Diary and you want to collect your online behavior data by using it.

Webmie is a software provider which provides the Survey Diary app and extension for your use.

What You Agree when You Use Survey Diary

You give for Survey Diary and Webmie a permission to collect diary data which are listed in the terms of the diary. Please, do not accept the terms of diary and terms of the service if you do not want to agree all issues in it. Survey Diary collects diary data only if you have accepted the terms.

Types of Collected Data

If you use “Survey Diary” mobile app or desktop browser extension and you have accepted the terms, the following kind of diary data is collected.

Mobile App in Android or iOS:

  1. App traffic data by using VPN/Proxy: Timestamp, amount of downloaded content, browser/app name and server’s IP address or domain name. This is collected from whitelisted domains.
  2. Technical information about errors and use of service for the development purposes.
  3. Following diary data may be collected as agreed in the terms of the diary: Domain of Pageviews, what apps has been used, domain of video watching or audio listening.

Desktop Browser Extension:

  1. URLs of pageviews as e.g. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Car
  2. Technical information about errors and use of service for the development purposes.
  3. Following diary data may be collected as agreed in the terms of the diary: Video watching, audio listening sessions, meta data of pages or keyword searches on pages.

Use of Cookies in App

The app uses Firebase Analytics to analyse and follow how much the app is used and is there any errors or software bugs in it. The app uses Firebase Cloud Messaging to send notifications to you. These Firebase services use cookies to work correctly. The app stores and uses notification token id in server side to send the correct message to the right app.

Google Analytics in App

When you use the app we use a third party service, Google Analytics, to collect information how you use the app. We do this to find out things such as the number of users to the various parts of the app user interface. This information is only processed in a way which does not identify anyone. We do not make, and do not allow Google to make, any attempt to find out the identities of those using our app. this data is only used in Webmie.

Deleting Data

The data is deleted from Webmie’s servers automatically 3 months after it has been collected.

How to Stop

Please, go to app or extension and pause the recording by clicking the "Pause" button.

How to Get and Review the Diary Data

Only you have access to the data. You can download and use it by using a secret and personal download link. You find this link in the Survey Diary app/extension.

How to Delete All of My Data

Your data is deleted automatically in 3 months. However, you may request us to delete your data by using the personal registration code.

Homepage Cookies (not in app or extension)

We use cookies in our homepages (survey-diary.com) in order to maintain its functionalities. We also use cookies in order to to follow what visitors are doing in our homepage. Homepage visitors who do not wish to have cookies placed on their computers should set their browsers to refuse cookies before using our homepages, with the drawback that certain features will stop working as intended without the aid of cookies.

Google Analytics on Homepage

When someone visits our homepage we use a third party service, Google Analytics, to collect standard internet log information. We do this to find out things such as the number of visitors to the various parts of the site. This information is only processed in a way which does not identify anyone. We do not make, and do not allow Google to make, any attempt to find out the identities of those visiting our website. this data is only used in Webmie.

Server Log Files

Our web server logs following standard log data: time, IP, URL, referrer, and browser’s user agent. Server log files are deleted within 30 days and is used only to deal with misuse and technical problems.
